How much mix do you add to. Cup?
Instructions:
Mix 1/3 cup of the bulk mix into 1 cup of liquid (almond milk, coconut milk or kefir).
Good evening, Mary! I use a generous 1/3 cup of the bulk mix to 1 – 1 1/2 cups liquid . I usually use kefir and cashew milk for my liquid. 🙂
Makes a quick breakfast shake when I’m in a hurry in the morning.
I use it for my hubby and me several mornings a week. He can drink his breakfast on the way to work and that’s about the only way he’ll have breakfast through the week!
I am one of those weird people who really doesn’t care for chocolate. Any suggestions of a replacement for the cocoa?
Try the Sunny Day protein shake mix here on the website. You can change the serving sizes to make a bulk mix if you’d like 🙂
Thanks for sharing these bulk mixes, Shannon! I need to go do this right now. I was thinking of an afternoon smoothie, so why not go ahead and make enough for later in the week?
Is there a one cup version to try first ? Is it on website to convert it?
You can change the serving size all the way down to 1 on the website and it will calculate it for you 🙂
Are you referring to the THM membership site? And if so, I am having a hard time finding it there. What should I search for?
I’m not quite sure what you are referring to Donna???
Is there something I can use in place of the defatted peanut flour, baobab powder and Lecithin? Or leave out?
You can increase the cocoa powder for a super chocolately version 🙂
What can you sub for peanut flour..got nut allergies
You can just use more cocoa powder 🙂 Super chocolatey!
I do not have baobob. What can I use in its place?
You could simply use more cocoa powder 🙂 Or…. even more nut powder for a nuttier taste 🙂
Seems like this might be good with my 6 oz of morning coffee added to it Thanks going to try it!
Could a mama subbed chocolate protein powder instead of vanilla & cocoa powder?
oh yes! I do something like that for my hubby, too! He likes the THM flavored protein powders, but I want to get in all those other ‘goodies’ in him 🙂
Ok. First time making this and I put it in Keifer. Should it be very tangy? 🙂
yes a bit! You can use more nut milk and much less kefir, then maybe work up to more kefir slowly 🙂
Pure Stevia hurts my stomach, but I’m fine with Gentle Sweet. How would I substitute it out? Thank you for the recipe!
Tina, you can certainly do that, but since the Gentle Sweet is “bulkier”, you may want to increase how much you scoop out for your shake so that you get ample protein. <3 A *generous* half cup of mix per serving may be best.
I would recommend toggling the serving size down to 1 on this recipe so that you can make that sweetener swap and test it out so that you can get it just right before making a bulking batch.
Another option would be make my bulk mix but leave the sweetener out, then test each shake with your gentle sweet until you get just the right amount; you can then added your gentle sweet needed to your bulk mix. <3
